Brooks Family Legacy

Courtnay Brooks grew up in this line of work. As a third-generation paver, he learned the ropes from his father and grandfather, watching and working job sites long before he owned one. With over 23 years of experience, Courtnay now leads C. Brooks Paving full-time, making sure every job meets the same high standard his family built their name on.

We’re not a franchise. We’re not a big corporation. We’re a Central Texas paving company that runs on grit, pride, and doing things the right way.

frequently asked questions

Where can I find you for asphalt paving?

We’re based at 480 Old Boerne Rd, Bulverde, TX 78163 and serve 25 communities across the Texas Hill Country, Central Texas, and South Texas. You can reach us by phone at (210) 326-5707 or email at cbrookspaving@aol.com. If you’d like to schedule a free site visit, fill out the form on this page and we’ll be in touch.

The more detail, the better, but you don’t need to have everything figured out before you call. At minimum: the address or general location of the project, the type of surface (driveway, parking lot, road, etc.), and a rough sense of the size. From there, we schedule a free site visit, assess the base and drainage conditions, and put together a written estimate. No guesswork, no verbal numbers that change later.

If you’re in the Hill Country, Central Texas, or South Texas and you want a fourth-generation paving contractor who shows up on time, gives you a written estimate, and has the owner on every job, yes. We work with homeowners, ranchers, businesses, municipalities, and industrial facilities. If your project is outside our service area or outside our scope, we’ll tell you that directly rather than take a job we can’t do well.

A properly installed asphalt surface, right base depth, right mix design, right compaction, can last 20-25 years with routine maintenance. In Central and South Texas, that maintenance primarily means crack sealing when cracks first appear and sealcoating every 2-3 years to block UV oxidation. Skipping maintenance is how a 20-year surface becomes a 10-year resurfacing bill.

Because it’s the right surface for the terrain, the climate, and the property sizes common to this region. Chip seal handles Hill Country limestone sub-grades well, performs better than smooth asphalt in heat and rain, and costs 25-40% less per square foot, which matters a lot when you’re paving a 600-foot ranch driveway or a mile of oil road. It’s our most-requested service for a reason. Learn more on our chip seal page.
